Well, my story really begins on Friday, March 21st. I got off work early, and I left Denver on I-76
bound for Nebraska! I made it all the way to Grand Island and stayed the night there. The next day,
I finished the rest of the drive to Omaha. The hotel I got was actually across the river in Iowa.
The venue was just outside of downtown Omaha, and not too far away from the giant Qwest Center.
I thought it was a pretty cool place. They had this divider wall set up between the bar and the
area for the performance. When showtime arrived, they slid/folded the dividing wall into the side walls.
When I was hanging out at the venue before the show, Glen walked out into the bar area, and he
recognized me. He asked if I knew of any good places to eat. Since I wasn't familiar with the area,
I couldn't really help out. However, that would not be the last time on this trip that a member of
Blind Melon asked me where to get some good food.
Before the show started, I also got to meet Pattie, who is Rogers' girlfriend from back in the day. She
had a few funny stories to tell about Rogers! hahaha! ! ! Actually Pattie walked up and introduced herself
because she recognized my face from myspace.
This show was truly excellent. What a great way to start off a six-show run! I had the pleasure of
hanging out with Kacie at this show, so it was really cool to see a familiar face in Omaha!
I also got to meet some new people at this show. I met two tapers: alzeppelin and goodcooker!

I can't fail to mention the two dudes I met in the front row - Caleb & DJ! You can hear them on my
recording, and it was apparent that they really enjoyed the show. I would see them again in Kansas City. . .

^^^ I believe that this was the second time that Blind Melon had performed "I Wonder" since the 1990's.
Kacie said that they brought it back for the first time at the St. Paul show. I was very excited to hear
this song live.

This is one of my favorite videos that I got on the entire trip. It's not the complete song,
but I got a decent portion of it. . .
At the end of the show. . . 3 out of the 5 members of Blind Melon walked up to me and said hello
and shook my hand before leaving the stage: (Rogers, Brad, and Christopher)
That was so cool! Christopher even walked up and told me that he recognized me from myspace.
